Abhiram Singh Yadav was elected on the influential Chief Executives’ Committee in a landslide to further underline the rise of Indonesian cricket.
The result, which I first announced on X, for the vacant Associate Member seat saw Yadav receive 30 votes - well clear of Sarah Gomersall (Jersey) who received 9 and Germany’s Vignaesh Sankaran (3), while one voter abstained.
Cricket Financial Journal, which revealed the field of candidates on September 11, understands Rashid Shah (Netherlands) was set to contest before pulling out of the race.
